One of the goals for our performance is to present quality and interesting high school and collegiate music. There are currently openings in all sections of the orchestra strings, woodwinds, and brass. Seating for some sections may require recommendations or a short seating audition.
Rehearsals are on Thursdays at 6:30 – 8:15 pm in the Wellard Hall (across from Owens Auditorium) Sandhills Community College, Airport Road, Pinehurst, NC
Rehearsals begin on Thursday, August 27th at Sandhills Community College for all members. SCC students may enroll in the MPO as a credit hour elective class. See the “Rehearsals” page for a complete listing of the schedule. We welcome anyone to sit in on rehearsals to see what we are all about.
The Moore Philharmonic is just the place for you if you have a joy of playing music, whether you’re a seasoned musician or someone who’s not played in a while. We welcome all ages and offer scholarships to student members of the orchestra as well as to non-members.
